What
does one do when the patients budget is limited
to 500 grafts? In this case, we created an incomplete
frontal hairline. 500 follicular unit grafts were placed
only within his persistent frontal forelock (a 4 inch
diameter circle.) Although the grafts are spaced somewhat
widely, a very natural correction has been achieved.
In the future, should the patient want a hairline that
goes continuously from left to right, more grafts may
be added. This is a good example of how thoughtfully
placed grafts can create a dramatic and very affordable
correction. Total 500 grafts.

Sometimes
a patient has many factors in his favor. This man not
only has a persistent frontal forelock of hair, but
his hair is quite coarse as well. Each hair shaft measures
about 80 microns in diameter. The normal mans
is 70, and in the case of the patient with the baby-like
hair (Patient #3) the average hair diameter was 45 microns.
Patient #6 had a total of 1300 follicular unit grafts
performed in one session. By letting the hair grow to
about 4 inches in length, weve created a very
strong visual effect. Look carefully at the video
the entire scalp has been transplanted. No Propecia
or Rogaine. Total 1300 grafts.

That's
what his hair stylist said when this patient confessed
the reason for the dramatic change shown in these videos.
Note the early hair loss in the vertex and how well
it has been filled in. The anterior hairline is quite
feathered with a large transition zone, there's no hard-edged
front line. The transition zone is constructed from
hand-selected, fine caliber, single-hair-only donor
grafts. Sure it's labor intensive and its not cheap.
But what do you want to see when you look in the mirror
each morning for the rest of your life? You won't see
this quality of work in a discount, high volume clinic.
It takes too much attention to detail. But then again,
that's what sets us apart from the rest. Total
2800 grafts
